WHISTLEY MILL RIVER LOWER, BRONZE 24 HOUR PERMIT FISHING
Bedchairs allowed on Lower River only
Crystal clear water in the summer months make this a frustrating water where you can watch the fish take in and eject your bait but rewards are good with Barbel to 14lbs plus and Chub approaching 8lbs. Best fished when fining down after flood. Though some swear by getting there as the levels are rising.
WHISTLEY MILL RIVER UPPER, NO NIGHT FISHING GENERAL PERMIT RULES APPLY
RDAA are pleased to announced the addition of a lovely new stretch of the River Loddon upstream of our Whistley Mill fishery. Shown on the map as Upper River this stretch has plenty of cover and is well regarded for the quality of its autumn and winter chub fishing with fish to 7lbs. It is not an easy water but there are reasonable numbers of 4lb to 5lbs specimens to be caught along with the occasional barbel. As with our downstream fishery it suits the roving angler and fishes best as the river is fining down. A new carpark has been installed just inside the gate at Whistley Mill. The upstream section can be accessed via Sandford Lane where there is limited parking in the lay-bys. The Upper River will be on the General Permit only (no night fishing).
TIMES 1hr before sunrise to 1hr after sunset or 9pm (whichever is later)
